Carboxytherapy

What is CARBOXYtHERAPY?

Carboxytherapy is the administration of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas – the gas that gives carbonated beverages their ‘fizz’ –  for therapeutic purposes.
CO2 is an invisible and odourless  natural gas produced by all humans and animals during respiration.

Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical method which consists of the use of carbon dioxide being administered subcutaneously.

How does carboxytherapy work?

Carboxytherapy works in different ways;

  • It increases blood flow to the treated area
  • It induces a rejuvenation of the dermis
  • It helps eliminate the build up of fluid and toxins

What areas can it be used to treat?

Carboxytherapy is used for dark under-eye circles, scarring, cellulite, rejuvenation, hair rejuvenation, stretch marks, fat reduction and other conditions related to the poor circulation of blood to areas which results in diminished oxygen supply.

How is carboxytherapy performed?

Using special equipment which regulates the flow of the gas and monitored the administered dose, CO2 is delivered under the skin with a sterilised need – similar to the ones used for insulin injection, connected by a very thin hose.

is Carboxytherapy safe?

There is no systemic toxicity with Carboxytherapy, the CO2 is safely dispersed by the longs after a period of time. There are no side effects except a light and short sensation in the area where it is applied.

When will I see the results?

Results can be seen almost immediately, however, you may require several sessions to achieve the desired results on some areas. Price packages are available for multisession courses.
